Darren Pearsons Lightpaintings

Lightpainting is a very nice tool to play with. A basically quite simple technique. Put your camera on a tripod by night, set your exposure to loooong (as long as you think you need for your painting to be done), press the button, step in front of your camera and start to paint in your picture. This can bring out some interesting things. In case of Darren Pearson, the results are simply mindblowing. One of these very rare websites i could sit in front of for hours and ask myself “how the hell did he do that”. His answer is quite simple:

I won’t stop until I get what I’m looking for. I may do something a hundred times, because I have a vision that I kind of go into something thinking ‘ok, I’ll get this particular shot,’ and if I don’t get that particular shot, I’ll obsess over it. 

 

Not only is his work really inspiring, these words should be a bunch in the face and a reminder for every one of us. If you do it, do it as good as you can, whatever it takes to achieve your goals.
